An airlock in the cold feed, common after the system has been drained down A dry or blocked cold water storage cistern in the loft, including a jammed float valve A partially closed or seized gate valve on the tank outlet

Cistern water level and float valve operation Gate valve condition — old gate valves seize far more often than lever valves Static and dynamic pressure at each affected outlet
