What a power flush actually does
High-flow water combined with cleaning chemicals dislodges black iron oxide sludge from radiators and pipework, which is then flushed out through the drain.
When it genuinely helps
Widespread cold spots across multiple radiators, a noisy or overheating boiler, or persistent sludge found after removing a radiator are good reasons.
When it isn't the answer
One cold radiator is more often air or a stuck valve than system-wide sludge, and flushing won't fix a mechanical fault like a failed pump.
