A tripped thermal cut-out inside the unit after a low-flow event A failed heating element or a scaled element in a hard-water area Insufficient flow through the unit, so the flow switch never enables full power
What we test on site
Incoming cold flow rate against the unit's minimum requirement Element continuity and cut-out state Supply cable rating against the unit's power, particularly where a higher-kW unit was fitted later
