What it does
A sealed pipe run, often twin-wall for balanced flue boilers, carries flue gases out and draws combustion air in, keeping the two entirely separate from room air.
How it fails
Joints degrade or separate, terminals get blocked by nesting or debris, or extensions and bends added over the years push the run beyond the boiler's rated limits.
Repair or replace
A blocked terminal is simply cleared; damaged sections of flue pipe are replaced, and any non-compliant clearance issue is corrected as part of the same visit.

Can I clear a blocked terminal myself?
If it's simply leaves or debris caught on the outside and easily reached, that's fine; if you suspect the flue itself is damaged, that's engineer work.

It's assessed against the standards in force and, where it falls short, we'll explain what correcting it involves rather than leave it as is.
