Balanced pressure is the point
Thermostatic valves behave predictably when hot and cold arrive at the same pressure. Mismatched supplies cause the temperature swings people blame on the shower valve.

Flow rate is the limit
Pressure gets water to the head; flow decides how it feels. We measure both at the stopcock before recommending anything.
Multiple outlets
Two mains-pressure showers running together will divide the available flow unless the incoming supply and pipe sizing genuinely support both.
