Air con quote

A written installation proposal built around your rooms and the practical routes.

What we offer

An air con quote is most useful when it describes a complete installation for your home. The room units are only part of that job: outdoor equipment, pipe routes, drainage and power all need to be considered together. We offer free in-home design and a quote with a fixed price in writing, so you can see what is proposed before deciding whether to proceed.

Use our existing contact page to tell us about the rooms you want heated and cooled, or call 07891 410 960. John The Plumb is REFCOM registered for F-Gas work and installs Worcester Bosch, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Panasonic and more. The survey helps move from an initial enquiry to a layout and installation scope that reflect your property rather than a generic unit recommendation.

Describe the rooms and your priorities

Tell us which rooms you want covered, what they are used for and when they feel uncomfortable. Approximate room dimensions and a description of the glazing are useful starting points. Mention whether you want cooling, heating or both, and whether the installation is part of other building work. If you already have a possible indoor wall or outdoor position in mind, describe it, but keep an open mind: the survey may identify a more practical layout when all the connecting routes are considered.

What the design visit looks at

We assess room sizes and features, potential indoor positions and the space available for outdoor equipment. The discussion includes airflow, furniture, nearby windows and access, alongside pipework, electrical supply and condensate drainage. A single room may suit a single split; several rooms may lead to a multi-split or ducted proposal. Any permission or lease requirements should be raised at this stage. The purpose is to establish the installation you are asking to have quoted, not just to choose a brand.

Make the written scope easy to follow

Check that the air conditioning installation quote identifies the equipment and which rooms it serves. It should describe the agreed unit locations and connecting work, including pipe routes, drainage and electrical arrangements. Ask how testing, commissioning and the controls handover are covered. Where there are choices between layouts, understand the differences before comparing the proposals. A fixed written price is easier to assess when you can connect each part of the scope to the design discussed during the survey.

Compare the installation, not a unit alone

Quotes can differ because they allow for different equipment positions, routes or room coverage. A proposal for one indoor unit is not equivalent to a multi-room design, and concealed ducted work is a different installation from visible wall units. Our installation cost-breakdown guide explains the categories of work that influence the project without replacing a property-specific quote. Use it to prepare questions about the scope, then ask for anything unclear to be explained before agreeing the installation.

Choose the next step with the design settled

After reviewing the proposal, discuss any layout changes and the fitting schedule. The work needs access to the agreed rooms and outdoor positions, so coordinating it with decorating or other building work is useful. The split systems we fit provide heating and cooling, and handover explains how to use those settings. 0% finance is available on Worcester Bosch systems; our finance page sets out the terms for that option.
